Ecosys is a dynamic artwork in which meteorological data from several locations across the globe are interrelated in chain reaction cycles and visualized by kinetic elements. A draft has been developed during the workshop “The course of interactive things” at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti.

“The course of things”, refers to the work of Fischli & Weiss “Der Lauf Der Dinge “, which documents a chain of reactions. An ideally infinite sequence of cause and effect.

The word “interactive” is meant both in its most technologic meaning and in reference to the mutual action that “things” have among them. The “things” used in the workshop are sensors and actuators driven by a micro computers (Arduino), while “things ” to which the project symbolically refer are climatic and environmental events. The scenario is therefore Earth’s ecosystems.
